Gangnam is a district in Seoul, South Korea which apparently is the richest district in South Korea and the song refers to living the life in Gangnam Style. As the most affluent part of the metropolitan area, it’s widely known for its expensive lifestyle and trendy fashion.

The song was released on July 15th, 2012 and ever since it has been unstoppable with it’s catchy tune and quirky moves making it a viral sensation. The video is now the most liked video on YouTube ever and has close to 360 million hits which is growing at a lightning speed.
